The first Cozy Mystery I ever read was a book called, How to Murder the Man of Your Dreams, by Dorothy Cannell. I picked it up on an annual book shopping spree I used to go on with my sister-in-law. It was mis-shelved in the romance section of Half Priced Books. To be honest, I don’t remember much about the story, but it is on my To Be Read pile, so that I can reread it. Though that was my first introduction to the genre it was not my last. I went on to read, the Stephanie Plum series as well as the Blackburn Sisters series and many more followed. It has become one of my favorite genres to read along with Historical Romance, so I wanted to share some of the books that have brought me joy recently in the Cozy genre.

The Wrexford and Sloane series by Andrea Penrose

A Magical Bakery Mystery series by Bailey Cates

The Sherlock Holmes Bookshop series by Vicki Delany

Year Round Christmas Mysteries by Vicki Delany
