It’s that time of year again. What can I say? I’m a Christmas addict. I’m already planning my Christmas season. I love everything about the holiday: the books, the lights, the food, the weather, the feelings the season evokes, and most of all spending time with family.

I take every December off of writing as a treat to myself and part of that vacation entails reading. And I compile a reading list every year. Most of the stories are Christmas stories, but there are always a couple that are parts of my favorite series and they just happen to be released every year around this time. So, what is on this year’s list? I’m glad you asked…

Stalking Around the Christmas Tree by Jacqueline Frost– I love this series!

Have Yourself a Deadly Little Christmas by Vicki Delany– Another really good series.

An Affair at Christmastide by Sandra Sookoo– This will be my first book by Sandra Sookoo. I’ve never read her before but have heard good things.

The Christmas Tart by Mary Jo Putney– Mary Jo Putney is a master! I’m sure it will be wonderful, I can already say, “I wish it were longer.”

The Wallflower’s Christmas Angel by Louisa Cornell– I have read every Christmas Revels anthologies and Louisa Cornell always had wonderful stories…actually all of the stories are wonderful.  I do wish they’d do more of the Christmas Revels, those were my favorites.  Hmmmm…It might be time to reread those!

–Non-Christmas books–

The next Stephanie Plum book- Dirty Thirty by Janet Evanovich– what can I say?  It’s Stephanie Plum. She’s hilarious and Janet Evanovich tells a great story.

Silver Lady by Mary Jo Putney– Mary Jo Putney, enough said.

Somewhere Along the Way by Lynn Kurland– I think if I had to pick a favorite author it would be Lynn Kurland. If you have not read her check her out! She is amazing.

Becoming the Earl’s Convenient Wife by Louise Allen

And I already read the newest in my very favorite series: Murder at Merton Library by Andrea Penrose– It was as amazing as the rest of the series!
