It’s actually no surprise that I am now writing Cozy Mysteries because my very first book released, back in 2005, was a…well I won’t say cozy mystery because it had tons of love scenes in it. But if you were to take those love scenes out it would be a cozy mystery. The book, though it did not sell well, was a reader and reviewer favorite. I now think that the lack of sells was due to the fact that it was not a romance, but a cozy disguised as erotic romance. It had a fun, quirky heroine, and a fantastic cast of lovable secondary characters.
The book featured Psyche as our lovable amateur sleuth. Of course, her husband Cupid came along for the ride, as well as the secretary of the wedding consultation company she co owned with said husband, her oldest son, Ganymede, and an amorous pigeon named Vivian.
I always loved the book, and loved writing it, but never wrote a sequel though I have notes for one.
I’ve waffled back and forth on what to do with the story for a while, but I’ve finally decided to touch it up a bit, remove the love scenes and release it as a cozy, since that is what it is and always has been. So pending a new cover (which is already in the works), I will release the story hopefully in the next couple of months.
