As you probably know from my post about tea, I love shortbread cookies. Well, I found a good recipe and tweaked it, so I wanted to share it with all of you.
Scottish Shortbread
Ingredients:
2 cups butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vanilla sugar (or just granulated)
4 cups of flour.
1/2 cups of white whole wheat flour
Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and brown sugar together, then mix in flour. Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into squares of use cookie cutters. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Note: I used cookies cutters ( the Amplemen I got in Germany). Also I highly recommend a silicone bakers mat for rolling out dough.
