O—kay… can I just say, revision is hard! I mean like really hard. Then again maybe it’s because the Moon Series stories are my very first books and I have grown tremendously as a writer. I’m honestly thinking it would be easier to scrap the old and write new…Honestly, it would be less aggravating and tedious. I’m facing a similar dilemma with my other pen name. I have my very first book under than penance to revise and…well…Yeouch! Let’s just put it this way. I wouldn’t publish it! LOL But alas it could be a great story and I desperately want to make it so. I want to do the same with the Moon series, so I’m not rushing into anything. It’s much more important to me to do it right and produce something I can be proud of and something my readers will love than to simply hurry and get something out to make a few bucks. My conscience and my pride simply won’t allow me to do that.
So as you can see, I have not forgotten the series, but I want it to be the best it can be for all of you. It has so much potential. I love the series arc and the stories themselves, but the writing needs updated and improved and that is what I’m going to do. Therefore, it’s going to take me a lot longer than I expected to get them back out. But I promise it will be worth the wait.
As for new stuff… I have a couple of projects in the works and am trying to divide my time between writing and revising. I’ve realized the only way my sanity will survive these revisions is to entice myself with new and shiny manuscripts, so that is what I’m doing.
Now, I just have to get myself a schedule and stay on it. I’d love to devote a certain time of day for each pen name and but I know from past experience it’s going to take some trial and error to find the right fit. Wish me luck!
